![]() Start up Overwatch, and thing run well for a while and then you get random micro-stutters every now and then. Since I was new to using the nvme stuff I wasn't quite sure. ![]() First sign of things not being quite right, the m.2 nvme SSD I used for the boot drive seems to running hot and doesn't seem to want to idle or cool down too quickly. Obviously, I had to pry and check over things like CPU load, temperature, etc. They do say ignorance is bliss, or curiosity kills the cat. And on the surface everything was working and seems to be fine. I'd not bother reinstalling windows from scratch, just cloned an existing install, and then uninstalled the old drivers and installed the new drivers. Everything came together fairly well and got all the stuff to fit and wires hidden in the little Lian Li PC-Q10WX case. I was doing a pair of i7-7700K mini-itx builds with the GA-Z270N-Gaming5 motherboards. Well it turns out it was clean until I installed the Gigabyte utilities.īTW anyone know if there is GA-Z270N-Gaming5 owner's thread anywhere? Can't seem to find it in the search ![]() Even a clean windows 10 pro install did NOT solve the problem. It was frustrating 2 days trying to track down the root of the problem. I do NOT know how Gigabyte can put out crapware like this.
